Youth Group

We at Renewal Main Line believe in the importance of Covenantal Worship as we believe that parents are the primary “pastors” of their children and that faith and discipleship do not just happen later on in life. Rather, faith and discipleship are “caught” through faithful preaching, faithful worshipping, and faithful living revealed through faithful households and faithful Christian examples. For this reason, while our 6th to 12th graders worship with their families on Sundays, we don’t limit discipleship and “Youth Group” to an hour on Sunday mornings. Instead we also offer the following:

  1. Friday Night Bible Studies
We believe in the importance of not only discipling our children in the Lord, we believe showing that the Word of God is accessible and enjoyable! After all, we believe that studying the Bible should never be a chore nor a program/agenda. We believe Scripture is sufficient, necessary, authoritative, clear, and inviting; therefore, in our studies, we trust the Bible to speak into and fuel our lives: our heads, our hearts, and our hands. In our studies, students have the opportunity to ask all the difficult and curious questions because the Bible speaks to all of life, including our curiosities.

Families take turns hosting bi-monthly as we gather for dinner at 7 pm, and break for our studies at 8 pm (parents’ CG and RYG Bible Studies), where we usually end the evening by 10 pm as families slowly disperse.

  2. Fellowship, Outings, and Retreats
We believe in the importance of creating opportunities for growth and unity in our Youth Group through fellowship events, activities, and retreats. After all, God not only makes Himself accessible to His people, He is personal. We believe that Youth Group is not just another program of the church, it is a part of the living church, as we seek the truth, live out the truth, and speak truth into one another’s lives.

We have monthly events, seasonal activities, and semesterly retreats to create as many opportunities for students to meet one another and spend time with one another. Although quantity time will never beat quality time, we believe quantity time is absolutely necessary to create opportunities for quality times.

  3. Pods (Community Groups)

We believe in the importance of connecting our students with one another through activities, but also to the rest of the church through teacher led pods. This is an opportunity to not just speak life into visible moments at church and church gatherings, but to allow life-giving truths to be spoken in our personal and private lives.

Our teachers meet with our students physically once a month for a group activity, but will reach out and encourage our students weekly through devotionals and prayer requests.

  4. Missions and Outreach

We believe in the importance of not only personal growth and community growth, but taking that growth outside our church. After all, our God is not just personal, He is missional; therefore, we want to invite the world to join us in this heavenly invitation: the gospel is for everyone!

Our hope is to create outreach opportunities for our students to participate in through the Summer as missional living becomes both a natural and desirable mindset throughout the rest of their lives. We hope that these would be opportunities to practice proclaiming the gospel and serving our communities.
